About Us

Clear, practical financial tools — free to use, built to be understood.

FinanceKit is an independent project that offers free online financial calculators and professional spreadsheet templates, so anyone can plan a mortgage, grow their savings, pay down debt or track their net worth without needing an accounting degree.

What we do

Free financial calculators

Ten browser-based calculators covering mortgages, compound interest, ROI, debt payoff, savings goals, currency conversion, budgeting, debt-free planning, net worth and retirement.

Premium spreadsheet templates

Ten ready-made planners for people who want to go deeper — track progress month by month in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, with everything laid out and formulas already built in.

How we think about it

Your numbers stay with you. Calculator inputs are processed in your browser. We don’t ask you to create an account or hand over your financial details to use a tool.

Plain language, no jargon. Each tool is designed to show you what a result means, not just print a number.

Honest about limits. Our tools are for planning and education. They are not financial, tax or legal advice, and real-world outcomes depend on rates, fees and circumstances that no calculator can fully predict. For decisions that matter, speak to a qualified professional.

Our story

FinanceKit started with a simple frustration: most financial calculators online were either buried under clutter or gave you a single number with no explanation. Working out something as important as a mortgage, a debt payoff plan or a retirement target shouldn’t feel confusing or leave you wondering whether the answer can be trusted.

So we set out to build the kind of tools we wanted to use ourselves — clean, fast, free, and clear about what each result means. The calculators came first, one at a time, each focused on a single real-life question people actually ask.

As people used them, a pattern emerged: a calculator is great for a quick answer, but many people wanted something they could keep, update and track over months and years. That’s how the spreadsheet templates were born — the same clear thinking, in a format you own and can use in Excel or Google Sheets and works in all devices.

FinanceKit is still independent and still growing. Every tool is designed, built and maintained by one creator, and your feedback directly shapes what comes next. If something is unclear, broken or missing, we want to hear about it.
